Nestled on the borders of Norfolk and Suffolk lies a very special farm. Covering 143 acres, the Clinks Care Farm uniquely combines the love and care of the land with a therapeutic space for disadvantaged or vulnerable people to learn and grow.
This award-winning social enterprise was started in 2010 and offers placements for people to use the farm to help tackle health and social care issues such as anxiety and depression.
There are a range of placements available which have been cultivated to support a variety of needs and aid the development of individual skill sets. These placements include Farm Therapy, Social Care and Work Preparation placements as well as an Educational placement.
The farm environment is ideal for people who want to build up their confidence and self-esteem through the activities available on the farm. Coming to participate in farming activities at Clinks Care Farm can have a truly positive affect on mental health and physical health as the natural environment can help a recovery journey whilst developing work and social skills.
The farm plays host to a wide variety and number of animals including pigs, sheep, chickens, geese and ducks as well as growing an impressive range of fruit and vegetables.
The resulting produce is available for purchase at the on-site Farm Shop and via the farm’s Veg Box scheme.
To support the growth and continued development of the enterprise, the charitable arm, ‘Friends of Clinks Care Farm’ was established to drive fund-raising activity. Since its inception in 2016, the charity’s work has been successful in facilitating a number of notable additions to the farm.
It will come as no surprise then that when Musker McIntyre became aware of the work the farm was doing, they were very keen to support it.
